Adding virtual backgrounds to video within a Virtual Stage and Networking Hub

There are a variety of virtual background options including, blurred, office and landscape presets, a custom image, and more to choose from!

Virtual Stage

To add a virtual background on the Virtual Stage, you have a few different options where you can apply this setting! The first is within the media device settings prior to entering the backstage:

  1. Select the Virtual Background button below your video preview

  2. Select your virtual background and then hit Select - and you're done!

Once you are in the Virtual Stage, there are two areas where you can adjust your Virtual Background setting, one being in the Preferences tab in the backstage:

  1. Select the Preferences tab within your backstage console or the small carrot icon on your Camera button within your control console

  2. Select the Select Virtual Background button below your small video tile preview

  3. Select your virtual background and then hit Select - and you're done!

You can also adjust your Virtual Stage within the Video Icon on your Control Center! Simply select the small carrot in the top right of the circle icon, and then Select Virtual Background!

Pro-tip: Your custom background image will show mirrored to you, though will be correct for others within the audience!

Networking Hub

To add a virtual background on the Networking Hub, follow these steps:

  1. Once in a Circle, select the small carrot icon above the video icon in your Control Center

  2. Select the Select Virtual Background button

  3. Select your virtual background and then hit Select - and you're done!

Removing a Virtual Background

To remove the background, you will follow the above steps select None, and then Select. Keep in mind - you will have to apply your virtual background within a Virtual Stage and a Networking Hub!

Note: Virtual backgrounds are not compatible with tablets or smartphones!
