Events have a lot of moving parts and with a new tool, it can be unclear if your workflows and processes should change.

Good news is that Sequel works for however you conduct your events.

However, it never hurts to have a plan you can stay organized and make sure everyone's on the same page with your new favorite tool :)

Below you'll find a thorough list of major actions we recommend to get the most out of Sequel and your time!

If it looks long, don't worry. This is meant to be exhaustive and not all of it may apply to you but will provide a comprehensive list for maximum preparedness and a great guest experience :)

To Open Registration + Get Event-Ready

  1. Decide on event details

    1. Date and time

    2. Format

    3. Objective

    4. Asset needs (especially in case of giveaways, etc.)

    5. Registration type and form fields

  2. Get Integrated (dependent on plan)

    1. Set up CRM settings and map additional fields if needed

    2. Set up CMS template for embedding Sequel as applicable

    3. Set a "Template" event within Sequel you can clone for ease

  3. Customize and brand

    1. Customize/confirm email copy

    2. Customize live stage options and themes

      1. Overlays, CTAs, design themes, breakout options, etc.

  4. Prep the Players

    1. Prep hosts with their responsibilities

    2. Prep presenters with display and engagement options like answering Q&A

    3. Schedule dry-run with hosts and presenters

      1. Using the same equipment and computer as event day

  5. Do a test-run of the whole event flow

    1. Prep hosts and presenters on run of show and expectations

    2. Clone event, register, pick settings, and go through all actions and movements in your run of show.

    3. For a full rehearsal that you can watch after, embed cloned event on a test site and go "live" from cloned event. This allows you to see a recording of the rehearsal.

  6. Open registration with blasts (email, social, etc.)

    1. Leave welcoming comment, instructions, etc. for any early guests. You can pin this comment so it doesn't get lost.

    2. Send additional pushes for registration and attendance.

Post-Event Excellence

  1. Review analytics to see live attendance conversion rate

  2. Gather high-scoring leads from Analytics > Audience Insights

    1. Provide to sales team or equivalent

    2. Track closed won from webinar lead
