Conducting Events in Multiple Languages

Answering the question: "How can I let participants register and engage in their own (non-english) languages?"

Updated over a week ago

Virtual events bring the power of global reach.

But we know, global reach falls short unless you can meet your audience where they are and allow them to experience your content with maximum relevancy.

That's why we built the ability to translate registration questions, engagement, etc. into whatever language your audience prefers. This means that your hosts, presenters and attendees will see all aspects of the Sequel component in their chosen language!

Customers with a purchased language pack will be able to apply the common languages chosen for captions for these UI languages as well

Supported Non-English Languages:

  1. French

  2. Italian

  3. German

  4. Spanish

  5. Chinese (Simplified)

  6. Chinese (Traditional)

  7. Japanese

  8. Arabic

  9. Portuguese (Portugal, Brazil)

  10. Indonesian

  11. Ukrainian

  12. Polish

  13. Swedish

  14. Dutch

Enabling Multi-Language Event Experience

In order to configure UI languages for your event, you must have the language pack add-on as part of your subscription.

Whatever languages you choose for your language pack are the languages that will be available to add within your event.

On the attendee side, registrants can choose their language when filling out registration questions and can change their preferred language under "Profile" tab of the event (unless disabled).

Adding Languages and Setting Default

To add language options,

  1. Navigate to Details tab in event settings

  2. Select "Add Language" and choose the languages you'd like to offer your audience.

  3. To set any language as the default, click on the Star icon next to the language.

Customize Translations for Event Details and Registration

Once languages are enabled, you'll see a Sequel AI translate icon next to content.

Editing the default name and email fields are as easy as a click:

Add any custom questions translated as well:

Once saved, these are the translations that'll show up for registration questions for the chosen language. The rest of the UI like the engagement tabs, buttons, notices, etc. are all already translated for you!

Attendees can select preferred language in the Sequel component next to the time zone options for maximum ease and relevance.

Combine this approach with dubbed video (with Sequel AI Dubbing) for webinars where the audio and captions are in the desired language!
