Sequel automatically detects all of your UTMs with your converted registrations. This provides a simple way for you to see which campaigns are the most successful in converting leads into registrations to your webinars.
When someone registers for your event using a Sequel registration form, we automatically detect and capture any UTM parameters appended to the URL they used to access the registration page.
In order to map the UTM data back into your CRM, follow these steps:
Log in to your Sequel Admin Dashboard and select the Virtual Stage of the webinar you are promoting.
Select the CRM tab.
Under your CRM (HubSpot, Marketo, or Salesforce), go to the Field Mapping section and select +Add Field.
Under Sequel Field you will see all the different UTM types populate. Simply select the UTM and map it into the field/property within your CRM.
That's it! Now you can easily track the success of your campaigns. For reporting from such data, check out our quick academy videos.
Addressing HubSpot Form-Specific UTM Fields
When using a Sequel registration form, you can still incorporate HubSpot's native forms capabilities in order to capture parameters like Original Source, Latest Traffic Source, etc.
To do this,
In HubSpot, create a Hubspot form with First Name, Last Name, and Email fields.
In Sequel, navigate to Marketplace
Find the Hubspot tile and click "Configure"
Find the Hidden Registration Form area add the Form ID and Portal ID of the HS form created in step #1.
Embed Sequel using the full code in Embed tab (normal flow)
Now Sequel will read the UTMs and provide direct source.
Not having this method in place will mean Original Source comes through as "offline source."
Available UTMs for Mapping
Attribution is a vital part of understanding how your webinar programs are working. As such, Sequel allows for mapping for the following UTMs (when using Sequel registration).
