Admin Logs for Activity Transparency and Audit Compliance Needs

How to access and read activity logs within Sequel Admin Dashboard as an Admin-level user.

As a Sequel company or workspace admin, you have a lot to manage. Finding the balance between enabling all your teams on Sequel and de-risking for accidents can be a challenge.

That's why Sequel released admin dashboard Activity Logs!

Activity logs are available from the main workspace, within a media file, and within events. What they surface is important for process excellence in large teams and for any team needing to do a bit of internal troubleshooting.

These activity log can be accessed by users with "admin" level permissions only.

Activity Logs cover dashboard areas like:

  • Events

  • Widgets

  • Media

  • Team

  • Email

  • Landing Pages

  • Certificates

  • Customization

  • And more!

You can see all the areas under the filter section (more on this below).

In each log, you'll see:

  • Date and exact time of occurrence

  • User that performed the action (email address)

  • The activity itself (Ex: created event, deleted media, set simulive)

Note: These activity logs cover Dashboard activities, not "backstage"/virtual stage activities. If there's something specific you're looking for though, let your CSM know!

Accessing Activity Logs

Activity logs can be accessed from multiple areas within Sequel dashboard.

  1. Main workspace - logs from every section of the dashboard will be shown here.

  2. Within event, series, and sessions - activities only from the event or session will show here.

    *CRM logs coming soon!

  3. Within media file inside Media Hub - activities for the asset only will show here.

Workspace Log Activity Filters

Filter by Date

  1. Navigate to main "Activity Log" area.

  2. On the top of the view, click on "Date" which defaults to last 30 Days

  3. From here, select one of the pre-loaded filters or customize by clicking on the exact dates for which you'd like to view activities.

  4. Hit the purple "Apply" button to save your filter.

Filter by Activity Category

  1. Navigate to main "Activity Log" area.

  2. On the top of the view, click on the down arrow for "All activities"

  3. From here, select 1 or more areas

  4. Hit the purple "Apply" button to save your filter.

Filter by User
Looking to isolate certain team or specific user? That can be easily done from the workspace activity log section.

  1. Navigate to main "Activity Log" area.

  2. On the top of the view, click on the down arrow for "All users"

  3. From here, select 1 or more users

  4. Hit the purple "Apply" button to save your filter.

  5. Now you'll see only the activities of that user, if there are any.
