Set and Customize Your On-Demand Replays

Use Sequel.io to create evergreen content right from your dashboard.

Updated over a week ago

After a live session has ended on the Virtual Stage, you can publish an existing recording or upload a custom .mp4 file as the replay for your event. In addition, our post-event email functionality allows a smoother user experience by configuring auto-publish on event replays to On-demand.

On-Demand Replays

"Replays" in Sequel refer to a post-event state where the event recording is set as the on-demand media for the event.

Sequel gives you the option of 3 different levels of replay control:

  1. Auto-replay at the global level from Emails area where any new event created is set to display the recorded event as a replay/on-demand video.

  2. Auto-replay at the event level from the emails tab where the webinar recording will be set to the replay/on-demand media.

  3. Manual setting of replay after the event has ended through the media tab.

All types show the same media player which has options for 30 second skips, picture-in-picture and adjustable playback speed (chapters coming soon!).

Auto-Publish Replays

To set your event for replay automatically, navigate to the "Emails" area of your Sequel left-side navigation or within the "Email" tab of a specific event,

At the global setting level (Emails area), click on the toggle for automatic replay

At the event setting level (Emails tab), click on "Configure" then the toggle for auto-replay:

Note: At least one of the post-event emails needs to be turned on in order to set auto-replay for the event. If you want to auto-enable replay for all events, this can be found in the global "Email" tab on the left navigation bar.

The "hours after event" option is to set a delay for when the post-event emails as well as the replay mode go "live" on your event site.

When enabled, if users activate any post-event email, we'll automatically publish the latest reply if a replay hasn't been selected yet.

Here is the breakdown of our auto-publish replays work:

  • If no replay is set, Sequel will automatically choose the latest replay from the event and follow any delays for post-event emails with replay access.

  • If a replay has already been set, our Sequel will not override it the selection.

  • Customers retain the flexibility to manually override any automatically selected replay if needed, ensuring complete control over their content.

Manually Set Replay

For the most control, after a live session has ended, you can manually set the On-Demand Replay inside the Media tab of your event.

This process also transitions the webinar type to On-demand, enabling attendees to access the replay anytime. Any new registrant will see the registration form.

  1. Select the Media tab and navigate to the recording of event

  2. Click on the film icon "Set as Replay" to activate the media you want live

This will fill in the "Event Replay" area on the left side

Not seeing your event? Make sure to select Past in the Event tab:

If your team went live multiple times within the same Virtual Stage, each live session will be recorded and offered as a video replay option to publish. At this time, you cannot delete replays from your replay tab.

Edit Video, Create Clips, Dub Video, and Download Replay

You can access all of your replays and circle recordings in the Media Hub.

  1. Log in to your Admin Dashboard.

  2. Select the Media Hub tab on the right hand side.

  3. Search for your recording by Name or Event ID.

  4. Select the Recording.

  5. Hit Download icon to download and Share to embed or grab a view-only link.

You can also edit or prep Sequel AI to alleviate hours of labor from post-event marketing and social media campaigns!

Add Chapters to Replay/On-Demand Videos

Let your audience get to what they value and/or revisit content easily with video chapters. Sequel provides two ways to generate chapters for your video or event recording.

To get started on adding chapters, find the video in media hub and select "Chapters" option:

This will open up your manual or AI options. You can name, edit timestamps, and delete chapters to fit your needs.

If you're manually adding chapters, click the "Add chapter" button below the video at the time you want to apply chaptering in the video. This will add it to the right side as the next chapter.
