When joining the Virtual Stage as a Host or Presenter, you can add a Virtual Background to enhance the look of your video. Simply click the Settings icon on your control center when joining the event, select Blurs and Backgrounds, and choose your preferred Virtual Background.
Not seeing one you like? That's okay!
You can add your own Virtual Background by clicking the Upload Custom Background option and selecting the file from your computer. We recommend a 16 x 9 image ratio for backgrounds.
Pro-tip: Your custom background image will show mirrored to you while backstage, though will be correct for others within the audience!
Networking Hub & Breakout Room
To add a virtual background on the Networking Hub or Breakout room, follow these steps:
Once in a Circle or Room, select the Effects icon (see below) before joining the room.
Select a blur, background, or upload your own image!
That's it! Close out at the X in the top right corner of the window to continue.
Removing a Virtual Background
To remove the background, you will follow the above steps and select None. Keep in mind - you will have to apply your virtual background within a Virtual Stage and a Networking Hub!
Note: Virtual backgrounds are not compatible with tablets or smartphones!
