The Hosts of a live event can delete any message, including those sent by Presenters and other Hosts, within the different chat spaces.
To remove a message, follow these steps:
Select the three dots beside the message within the Chat
Select Delete to permanently remove the message from the Chat - that's it!
Only Hosts can delete chat messages! Please note that deleting a message from chat is a hard delete i.e. it will not be in your post-webinar analytics and chat transcript.
How can I clear an entire Event Chat thread?
If you are interested in clearing the entire chat, this can be done within your Admin Dashboard. Keep in mind - this is a permanent action and cannot be undone once cleared! To clear the chat, follow these steps:
Log in to your Sequel Admin Dashboard.
Select the Virtual Stage that you would like to clear the chat of.
Scroll to the bottom and select the red Clear Chat button.
Select Ok to confirm you would like to clear the chat.
How can I clear an entire Circle Chat thread?
With each Circle Chat, Hosts have the option to clear the existing conversations straight from the Networking Hub. There is also the option to clear all Circle chats at once from your Sequel dashboard.
To clear an individual Circle Chat as a Host and/or Circle Owner, follow these steps:
Hosts
Select the dropdown menu in the Chat+ menu to select all chat or a specific Circle chat you would like to clear
Once selected, select the Clear Chat button and confirm you would like to clear the chat
You can also clear the all Circle chats in the Networking Hub details within your Sequel Admin dashboard - just note this is a permanent action and cannot be undone.
Circle Owners
Select the dropdown menu in the Chat+ menu to select Organizer chat or Hub chat within the Main chats, or a specific Circle chat you would like to clear
Once selected, select the Clear Chat button and confirm you would like to clear the chat
Circle Owners can only clear the chat of Circles that they directly own
