Set Unsubscribe Links for Event Series

Allow attendees to unsubscribe from Event Series type of Sequel event

Event Series (Multi-Session Events) allow you to reach people beyond the current event and into future content you may have (full guide here).

To preserve compliance, personal choice, and relevancy, Sequel allows registrants to unsubscribe from event series through use of the email "unsubscribe" variable.

If you're using default email templates for your series registration confirmation, reminder, and post-event emails, the unsubscribe is already built in.

Adding Unsubscribe Link to Custom Emails

If you'd like to use custom email templates (built out in our Drag and Drop Email Editor),

  1. Navigate to the template of your choice and edit.

  2. Enter the text you'd like to use for unsubscribe statement.

  3. Highlight the text you wish to link to unsubscribe and click on the "chainlink" icon.

  4. This brings up the link setup where you'll enter the template variable {{unsubscribe_link}} for the URL. You can also set the title and target here.

Tracking Event Series Unsubscribes

To view unsubscribes and get information on who and when,

  1. Navigate to "Event Series Settings" within the series.

  2. Click on the Participants tab and you'll find a "Subscription" column.

  3. To sort and see unsubscribes listed together, click on the column title.
