It is recommended that attendees register for each upcoming event individually. However, there may be instances where you want them to register for one event and have access to all events on your site. This is particularly useful for multi-session events with concurrent breakout sessions.
To enable Cross Event Registration, open the Event Details in your Admin Dashboard
Navigate to the Registration Tab
Under Sequel.io Registration select "Enable cross-event registration" toggle
Repeat the process for all events you would like your attendees to be able to access. Cross-registration is controlled at the event-level.
If you're looking to have this on for many events, cloning of an "event template" event within Sequel is recommended.
Cross-event registration will require a user to register for one event, and then navigate to subsequent events without having to register over and over again. It is important to note that when cross-event registration is enabled, then a user will not receive the following:
Confirmation emails
Reminder emails
Calendar holds
Relatedly, you will not see registration activity in your CRM for the cross-registered attendee. However, once the event has occurred and the person has either attended live, etc., the status will then be sent over with CRM syncs.
Due to this functionality, cross-event registration is best used for past-events to create a "Netflix-style" easy-to-binge experience of your content. This will allow your users to navigate through your On-demand content and instantly watch the videos without having to register to watch. We will still capture the On-demand data for each user!
For another example, a typical use case would be a 1-day conference that has eight sessions throughout the day. When a user registers, it is important they receive one confirmation email for the entire day, as opposed to eight confirmation emails.
Cross Event Registration only allows access to events sharing the same domain name. It will not work across different sites.
