Creating Your Webinar

Creating an event in Sequel.io is fast, easy and powerful.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open your Sequel Admin Dashboard

  2. Select Events in the sidebar

  3. Select New Event. This will provide options for event types.

  4. Select the type of event you want to create and click "Create Event"

  5. Now you're in your event dashboard. From here, go to "Event Settings"

  6. Follow the tabs on top from registration forms to participants to themes and embed codes as well as integrations.

  7. Once details are complete, navigate to the Registration tab and add the URL where you embedded the Sequel iframe!

Single Events can always be edited later by selecting them in the Events tab and navigating via "Manage Events" or by clicking on the event thumbnail and going to "Event Settings"

Recurring events allow you to host events in the same embed. This is great for highly repetitive content, like a Weekly Demo or a Monthly Product update.

Customize Your Webinar

The Customization tab allows you to create themes so your events feel like your brand. Choose from the Sequel.io presets or create you're own! You can customize colors, and core features and even add gradients to certain elements.

Running multiple series with different themes? You can click on "Create New Theme" and pre-load for easy access.

Preview Your Webinar

Now that you've created your webinar and customized it's time to see what it looks like! Launch your event preview by clicking the preview button in the event details or selecting the preview icon on the Event tab. You can set up your audio and video settings, test registration, enter backstage, chat, and even Go Live! If you want to preview the banner image, select the Profile icon and log out from the stage as the Host!

Share Your Webinar

Your webinar is created, customized, and previewed. Now you need people to experience it with you!

  1. From event settings, go to the Participants tab, where you can add other Hosts & Presenters. For this first webinar, we recommend sharing with colleagues and friends.

    1. Sometimes, you might need to access the Join Code, Stage Link, or Resend Confirmation email. All of these options can be found in the Participants tab, under the three dots indicating more options.

Embed Sequel on Website

Now that you've configured the look and feel of your event registration as well as stage, you're ready to embed!

Navigate to the "Embed" tab within any event. Depending on your subscription and needs, you'll have options to easily embed into any site or specific providers.


If you're not sure the setup is right, we got you! The embed tab walks you step-by-step and has an embed code validator that checks to ensure your embed code is working correctly!

Go Live

The moment you've been working towards, going live! Enter your webinar just as you did when you were previewing it earlier. Select Join to access the stage once you have completed your media device set-up. When you're ready to start your webinar select "Go Live" in the upper right-hand corner.

Once you've finished your webinar select End Session and publish your On Demand Replay!
